The October P2P SMS total was another all time high for the UK with 100 million more than the previous month.
The number of person-to-person text messages sent during October reached 3.8 billion in the UK, according to figures released today by the Mobile Data Association (MDA).
This is almost a 27% increase on the total for October 2005 and shows that is still much potential for SMS.
Likewise November and December look set to be similar record breakers. as the nation’s texters have plenty to keep them busy in the run-up to Christmas. As well as gossiping about the latest goings-on in the ‘I’m a Celebrity…’ jungle or the X-Factor studio, text messaging will prove invaluable over the festive period for arranging parties and suggesting presents.
