Reuters is offering a selection of business and entertainment news alerts by SMS in the UK

The text message alerts from Reuters provide a UK breaking news service covering both Business and Entertainment stories.

By signing up to top UK News or Entertainment News, an average of 1-3 alerts will be sent per day, 7 days a week while the Business & Market News is just sent weekdays The weekday Market Close message includes Closing price of the FTSE including the net day points and percentage change, top gainers and falling shares - by percentage - within the FTSE and the exchange rate of the British Pound against the US Dollar.

Each message costs subscribers 25p and can be turned off by sending the simple message STOP to the signup shortcode number 84070
