Brighton’s Creation nightclub is celebrating the success of QJump, a new service which enables club goers to by-pass the queue simply by sending a text message.
The three-month trial of an SMS Qjump service was developed with iTAGG.com. It allows clubbers to send a text message to gain a place on the Creation guestlist, avoiding the thousand strong queue. The SMS QJump service has been successfully trialled in Brighton first, and is now to be rolled out to The Nightclub Company's 22 otherclubs nationwide.
By sending a text containing the word CREATION QJUMP to 83248 before arriving at the club, a limited number of people are are sent a Queue Jump confirmation text message which they show at the door on arrival. £1.50 is then billed to their phone bill.
The system uses a simple text message confirmation without a barcode and is valid until 1am on the door.
The service, developed by mobile domain name provider iTAGG.com, has proved hugely popular with clubbers since its launch in the summer with over 250 people a month jumping queues which often exceed 1,000 people.

The Nightclub Company, which owns Creation Brighton as well as 22 other clubs in the UK including Equinox in London, will be rollling out a range of mobile services across it’s clubs in the coming months.
Another mobile service that is proving popular is mobile wallpaper. Clubbers can purchase pictures taken within the club and have them sent to their phones. After letting their hair down on their night out, clubbers can log on to the web site and see if their picture has been displayed. For £1 they can have the picture sent to their phone for Phone wallpaper using WAP 2.0 push.
Steve Taggert, Entertainment Manager, Creation Brighton said: “Mobile represents the future for both club promotions and customer interaction and we knew that an exciting mobile service like QJump would take off first in Brighton.â€
