EarthCam has launched a Webcam site that allows interaction with live webcams from mobile phones

As well as watching live webcams feeds, users can broadcast their own personal webcam to mobile phones. with either pictures from a PC basee webcam or by posting pictures from their phone to a personal online album.

“Throughout the past year, we have been working with leading wireless carriers to develop our application and will be announcing partnership agreements during the second quarter” said Brian Cury, founder and CEO of EarthCam.

The website allows members to not only search EarthCam’s worldwide network of more than 1000 cameras, but also search the database of other member cams and mobile webcam albums. The service does not permit adult content.

The Broadcaster application from Earthcam includes motion detection with SMS alerts, multiple skins for customization, and record with playback capability.
